Andrew runs In Good Order. He takes responsibility for the accounting work you agree with him, and he builds the systems that do the recurring work. Zak develops new business relationships and helps prospective clients get started.
Andrew Ramsell
Founder & accountant
I’m Andrew. I run accounting and finance operations for businesses, and build the software that takes recurring work off their teams. My background is in heavy industry and ecommerce, where I’ve been responsible for the numbers as well as the processes behind them.
I get absorbed in how things work. If the numbers don’t reconcile or a process keeps wasting someone’s time, I want to understand why, and build something that fixes it.
I take responsibility for the work we agree, from the monthly bookkeeping and payroll to rebuilding records so the figures stand up and preparing the year-end accounts. I’ve worked in accountancy practice and run day-to-day operations, preparing the figures, helping make business decisions and then putting them into effect. I’m an AAT-qualified accountant and Xero certified advisor.
The software I’ve built includes the CRM In Good Order uses, PlateLedger for vehicle dealers, the connections that bring marketplace settlements and their documents into the accounts, and Framewright, which I used to design our own extension before building it. Doing the accounting is what decides how those systems record the work, including which steps need someone’s approval and what has to stay traceable when something changes.

More about Andrew’s experience
My experience includes a large dealership group, high-volume ecommerce, construction and small businesses. I’ve worked independently and led teams.
During a major industrial turnaround involving two processing units at the same time, I supervised a team, directed their work and managed their payroll. I’m used to working under pressure, where delays and mistakes can carry substantial costs and penalties.
I prepare management reports that show owners how the business is performing and what needs attention. I also check the balances and commitments behind those reports, so decisions rest on reviewed figures.
I’ve also supported neurodivergent people with business development through the government’s Access to Work scheme.
Zak Dobson
Business Development Partner
I work independently with In Good Order, speaking with prospective clients about their accounting requirements. I help establish what they need before introducing them to Andrew for a detailed conversation.
My background is in B2B sales and account management. At Opus, I was named Salesman of the Month for six consecutive months. I’ve handled client meetings and negotiations, with responsibility for finding new clients and developing customer relationships.

My work reviewing financial information involves checking supporting evidence, asking follow-up questions and handling sensitive conversations. I also have experience in heavy industry, working with industrial teams and suppliers.
Outside work, I write and record music and take an interest in computing and technology.

In Good Order Ltd is registered in Maidstone, Kent, and works with owner-managed businesses across the UK. Andrew holds professional indemnity insurance. The company is also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller: ICO registration ZC274853.
