Pricing
Price list
The accounting is charged monthly. Setup work and automation or software builds are charged once, and if we run the work for you afterwards, that is a separate monthly fee quoted for what you choose. Nothing on this page is charged until it’s agreed in a written quote.
How your price works
Each fee on this page is either monthly or one-off, and every table’s price column says which.
Scroll across the table to read every column.
| Work | How it’s charged |
|---|---|
| Accounting packages and their additions: bookkeeping, sales channels, VAT, payroll and reports | Monthly |
| Setup and catch-up work, and automation or software builds | One-off |
| Running other agreed processes for you, and keeping the systems behind them working | Monthly, quoted for the work you choose |
For the accounting, pick a monthly package, then add anything below that applies to your business. Where a return is filed less or more often than monthly, the table says how often; the fee is still shown per month. VAT is not currently charged. Xero is paid for separately, directly to Xero. One-off work is agreed in writing before it starts.
A transaction is one bank, card or currency statement line.
Full service: bank bookkeeping included
I do all your bank bookkeeping in Xero, with every bank, card and wallet line matched and coded, plus your year-end accounts and tax returns. Entering supplier invoices that you pay later is an addition, described under purchase ledger.

| Package | Up to 50 transactions | Up to 100 | Up to 250 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sole trader | £55 | £69 | £125 |
| Limited company | £119 | £145 | £195 |
Sole trader: all bank bookkeeping, year-end accounts, Self Assessment, and Making Tax Digital quarterly updates when they apply.
Limited company: all bank bookkeeping, company accounts, Corporation Tax return, confirmation statement (Companies House fee extra), director payroll and the director’s Self Assessment.
Compliance only
You keep your own books in Xero; I prepare the accounts and returns from them. Bookkeeping isn’t part of these packages.

| Sole trader with Making Tax Digital updates | £35 |

Online sales and banking
Sales channels
Scroll across the table to read every column.
| Item | Monthly |
|---|---|
| Each extra sales channel or storefront (your first is included) | £90 |
| Platform reports and documents over the 50 a month included | £50 per extra 50 |
The fee for each extra channel is for the work on it every month: downloading, filing and organising its invoices, fee statements and settlement summaries, which platforms don’t send out, and reconciling them to your payouts. Up to 50 platform reports and documents a month are included in total, however many channels you sell on, and the second row applies only above that. The multi-channel example shows both.
There’s no charge for connecting a channel. The marketplace connections are our own, so there are no paid connector plugins such as A2X or Dext Commerce to pay for either. Any other channel is scoped before we take it on.
Bank accounts, currencies and stock

| Item | Monthly |

| Bank, card or wallet account over 2 | £15 each |
| Foreign-currency account, wallet or settlement currency | £35 per currency |

| Item | Return filed | Monthly fee |
|---|---|---|
| UK VAT returns | Quarterly | £25 |
| VAT Margin Scheme or Global Accounting Scheme | With the VAT return | +£75 |

| One Stop Shop return (Union or non-Union OSS) | Quarterly | £20 |

| Each other-country VAT registration you hold (ongoing work) | Set by that country | £45 per country, plus any local agent’s fee at cost |
| Extra director or partner tax return | Yearly | £10 |
Registering for VAT in another country is a one-off fee, listed under one-off prices. More on the schemes on VAT work for Kent businesses.
Payroll and pensions
Scroll across the table to read every column.
| Item | Monthly |
|---|---|
| Each monthly or four-weekly pay schedule | £15 |
| Each fortnightly pay schedule | £25 |
| Each weekly pay schedule | £35 |
| Per employee, on any schedule | £4 |
| Pensions and auto-enrolment, per pension scheme | £20 |
| CIS returns | £25 |
The per-employee fee covers starters and leavers, statutory pay, student loans, P45s, P60s and year-end. Director payroll is part of the limited company packages. Each run is prepared from the pay information you approve, and nothing is submitted until it has been approved: see how payroll approval works.
Purchase ledger and reporting
Every full-service package already includes all your bank bookkeeping: every transaction matched and coded. Most small businesses that pay their bills straight away need nothing more.
Supplier invoices and bills
Worth adding if you buy on credit terms (invoice now, pay later), are on standard VAT and reclaim VAT on the invoice date, or have lots of suppliers, part-payments or credit notes. I enter every supplier invoice into Xero, match it to the payment, chase any that are missing and keep track of who you owe and when.

| Supplier invoices a month | Monthly |
|---|---|
| Up to 25 | £95 |
| Up to 50 | £175 |
| Up to 100 | £325 |
| Up to 150 | £475 |
| Over 150 | £75 per extra 25 |
Month-end and reports
There are two reporting additions. The month-end close produces Xero’s standard reports once the month is closed. The monthly report is a short written report showing your profit, cash and key numbers, with notes on what’s changed and what’s coming up. You can see the kind of report in the fictional month-end pack.

| Item | Monthly |
|---|---|
| Month-end close and standard Xero reports | £150 |
| Monthly report | £125 |
One-off prices

For the Union One Stop Shop scheme, HMRC requires the business to register itself; an agent can’t register for it.
Worked example: a sole trader
A sole trader with about 80 bank lines a month, on full service and registered for VAT. Illustrative, not a client.

| Item | Monthly |

Worked example: a multi-channel online retailer
A UK limited company selling through 10 sales channels, with 13 bank, card and wallet accounts, four foreign currencies, 9 staff on three pay schedules, and the VAT Margin Scheme. The company keeps its own purchase ledger.
Scroll across the table to read every column.
| Item | Monthly |

| 9 extra sales channels × £90 | £810 |
| About 200 platform reports (3 extra blocks of 50) | £150 |
| 11 extra bank, card and wallet accounts × £15 | £165 |
| 4 foreign currencies × £35 | £140 |
| About 217 bank lines a month on average (within the 250 included) | £0 |
| UK VAT, Margin Scheme and EU ancillary reporting | £140 |

The same business appears on the services page, with a second option that includes the purchase ledger.
After a free conversation, I confirm the package and price in writing before any work starts.
Guide prices for automation and software
Automation and custom software are priced for each piece of work. The first step is a free review: Andrew looks at the current process with you, finds a practical change, and estimates the time it could release or the money it could save from the information available.
If you want to go ahead, a written proposal says what will be built and what it costs. A build is a one-off price, and it doesn’t come with a monthly subscription to us. Running costs charged by other providers, such as software subscriptions or hosting, are listed separately. The build price doesn’t include later changes or upkeep; if you’d like us to keep it running, see running the work for you.
Scroll across the table to read every column.
| Scale of work | One-off build |
|---|---|
| One small automation, using a system you already have: filing incoming documents, for example, or producing a recurring report from an export you supply | £300–£750 |
| A connected workflow across your existing systems, such as taking a website enquiry into a CRM with a follow-up process you approve | £750–£2,500 |
| A compact internal tool or dashboard for one defined workflow, using data sources agreed with you | £1,500–£4,000 |
| A focused first version of a bespoke CRM or operations system, with its records and staff access scoped to your business | £3,000–£8,000 |
These are indicative budgets for defined projects of the scale described. They aren’t fixed prices, and they aren’t the limit of what we take on: larger systems are scoped in stages, and each price is agreed after the free review. A first version at the lower end of a range covers one defined part of the business, not every department. VAT is not currently charged.
The review’s figures are estimates, not measured results. Time an automation releases becomes a saving only if a cost stops or the time goes to other work.
Running the work for you
We can build the system and run the work behind it. You can commission a defined build and run it yourselves, or have us keep operating the agreed processes for a monthly fee quoted for your business.
Scroll across the table to read every column.
| Arrangement | How it’s charged |
|---|---|
| A defined build, which your team then runs | One-off build price, agreed after the free review |
| We run the agreed processes and keep the systems behind them working | Monthly service fee, quoted individually |
The work we can take on includes:
- collecting missing source documents, using the logins you authorise;
- reconciling accounts, and preparing payroll and returns for your approval;
- filing documents where you keep them;
- reviewing failed automations and exceptions, and resolving connection problems;
- keeping CRM and inbox handoffs moving;
- bringing you the information each decision needs, in time to make it.
You choose which of these we take on, and the proposal lists them. Where the accounting is part of it, the monthly packages and additions above apply. The proposal also sets out any initial project or setup cost, the monthly service fee, and any running costs charged by other providers. Further improvements are scoped and priced when they come up. Payments, filings and anything sent in your name still wait for your approval.
