Accounting for platform income
A payout from OnlyFans, Fansly or LoyalFans may include several weeks of income, less fees and refunds. Some earnings may still be held by the platform. The accounts need to explain those amounts rather than treat every bank receipt as a new sale. Tips, tributes and wishlist receipts, including those through Throne, also need records.
Andrew has experience investigating marketplace accounts. We review your platform agreements and financial records to establish how the income should be recorded and what work is needed.
Privacy and NDAs
Start with your preferred name and an email address you are comfortable using. You do not need to share a public profile, content or fan conversations to make an enquiry. Tell Andrew how you would prefer to be contacted and whether a neutral subject line matters to you.
We can agree a non-disclosure agreement before you share detailed financial records. We will agree how to exchange documents and who has access. An introduction from a course provider, manager or another creator does not give them access to your accounts or correspondence.
You can use your stage name in routine contact. Your legal identity will be needed for client checks and official records. An NDA does not override required record keeping or lawful disclosures; we explain these limits before work begins.
Work we can take on
We can take on a backlog as a separate project or agree ongoing accounting work. The scope depends on the records and responsibilities involved.
- Platform reconciliation: check the activity and balances in your platform reports, including fees and refunds, and match withdrawals to the bank.
- Expense records: organise receipts and review which costs are business expenses, including purchases with personal use.
- Gifts and tips: keep cash, items and balance movements traceable without counting the same receipt twice.
- Profit and cash reporting: prepare accounts that show business performance and explain why profit differs from the bank balance.
- Tax information: estimate the cash to set aside for tax and record relevant deadlines, for the tax work included in your agreed scope.
Platform agreements and tax
The terms matter. A refund may reduce your earnings without reversing a platform fee. An agency may calculate its commission before or after other deductions. We check the agreements and statements instead of assuming every platform works the same way.
VAT needs its own check. A platform charging VAT to fans does not settle every question about your supplies or overseas service fees. We identify the contractual parties and income streams, and agree any specialist review needed before relying on a treatment.
Company accounts, Self Assessment, VAT returns and Making Tax Digital support must be specifically agreed. Using several platforms does not, by itself, mean you need to form a company.
Getting started
Send a brief outline of the accounting help you need, mentioning any deadline. You can request an NDA in the enquiry. We then agree how to review a sample of your financial records before quoting a fixed fee. Any backlog is priced separately from ongoing work.
Before starting, we agree the access needed and who approves corrections, filings and payments. Your content library and fan inbox are not needed for the initial review.
Questions about this support
Do you work with adult creators, dommes and online models?
Yes, we welcome enquiries and discuss the business without judgement. We review your records, platforms and the work needed before confirming the scope. Complex cross-border or disputed arrangements may need specialist advice first.
Can we sign an NDA before I share financial records?
Yes. An NDA can be agreed before detailed financial records are exchanged. Tell Andrew at the outset. It does not remove legal identity checks, record-keeping duties or lawful disclosure requirements.
Can I use my stage name to get in touch?
Yes. Use your preferred name and a suitable reply email for the initial enquiry. We will explain the legal identity information needed if you become a client and agree how your names are used in routine contact.
Will the person who introduced me see my accounts?
An introduction does not authorise access to your accounts. Any involvement by a referrer, manager or agency needs to be agreed with you; they do not need your financial records simply to make the introduction.
How much does creator accounting cost?
We quote a fixed fee after reviewing the platforms, currencies, records and responsibilities involved. Setup or historical recovery is separated from recurring work. Specific accounts, tax returns and specialist advice are included only where expressly agreed.
